Opened in 1992, the Romantik is spread across a number of lovingly restored, listed buildings. A timbered barn that was previously home to a seed-growing company, a palace from the Gründerzeit period formerly owned by the Harzer Likörfabrik distillery – the birthplace of the Harzgeist liqueur – and a barn with a Prussian vaulted ceiling and cast iron columns surround the hotel’s beautifully green garden.
A place in which our guests can enjoy a relaxing, almost Mediterranean atmosphere.
Start the day well - in our light-flooded breakfast room we offer breakfast in several stages, from Monday to Friday from 7-11 am, on weekends and holidays from 8-11 am.
On our daily breakfast buffet you will find, among other things, freshly cut fruit, homemade Birchermüsli, some sausage specialties from the region, jams from the Black Forest manufactory Faller and, upon request, gluten- and lactose-free products - please let us know when you arrive. Choose between different coffee specialties and the good Sansibar coffee or from an extensive tea assortment from Eilles.
Quality right from the start. Then take your time to find out about events or excursion destinations in the area through our hotel information system or ask for advice at the reception.

On cool evenings, we cordially invite you to the fireplace lounge. Cozy seating areas and a bar are waiting there not only for night owls.
Finish your day in peace and quiet – join us at our little bar in the fireplace lounge. We serve coffee and homemade cakes here throughout the day, but in the evenings we have a variety of cocktails and long drinks and a wide range of wines to choose from.
In the winter months, you can come and snuggle up in front of our cosy open fire. And real night owls can enjoy the bar until late.
